Registration from Dec 16: Tiwari

Saturday, 30 November 2019 | Staff Reporter | NEW DELHI

Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday congratulated the people living in unauthorised colonies, saying that nearly 40 lakh people of these colonies will get benefits of the scheme.

BJP president Manoj Tiwari said the process of registration will be started on Delhi Development Authority (DDA) portal from December 16 after which people living in these colonies will get ownership rights.

He informed that 1,731 colonies have been regularised in the first phase and remaining colonies will be regularised in second phase.

Tiwari said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann took part in the discussion on the Bill

to regularise these colonies but left the house at the time of voting.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Goel said that Kejriwal has been continuously harming the interest of the city for five years.

Even the Supreme Court said that the people of Delhi should be blown away by explosive because it has become worse than that of the hell. Arvind Kejriwal has no moral right to continue his post following the court’s remarks.

BJP MP Pravesh Verma said that the people living in unauthorised colonies had bought the plot at whatever cost and no matter today the price has gone up to any extent, the Central Government has waived 100 per cent capital gain tax on the registration of unauthorised colonies. “The AAP and Congress had promised to pass unauthorised colonies in their manifesto but why did they fail to do anything in this direction,” he asked?
