Rare congenital surgery at railway hospital

A rare surgery for congenital anomaly has been performed at the East Coast Railway Central Hospital at Mancheswar here successfully.

Hospital doctors headed by Additional Chief Health Director (Surgeon) Dr J Jena, Consultants Dr Debasish Mishra and Dr Samanyu Tripathy and Additional Chief Health Director (Anesthesia) Dr Sk Sirajuddin conducted the operation by releasing the pevoneal nerve and cortical osteotomy illizarov of the right leg of a 24-year-old girl, who was unable to walk because of the skyline deformity on her leg. Such types of operations are basically conducted at medical colleges and at corporate hospitals.

ECoR Principal Chief Medical Director Dr SK Mohanty and Central Hospital Medical Director Dr Arundhati Senapati congratulated the team of doctors for the surgery.
