Former chief minister Raman Singh on Saturday flayed the state government’s Naxal policy, claiming that during his rule some successes were achieved to end Maoist menace, but it was squandered as the present regime termed the rebels ‘revolutionary.’
The former CM was replying to queries on 'Facebook Live.'
Recently, one Maoist coordinator could secure bail due to the leniency of the state government, which indicated its soft corner for the Naxalites , Singh said, posing how such a government could finish Naxalism.
On rising crime, he said “The state government affected more than 100 transfers even before it completed 100 days in power making the state a den of criminals, where murders and rape are taking place in broad day light.”
Answering to query on Ayushman and Smart Health Card, Raman said, “Poor people are often forced to sell their house for treatment. Realising this, the health card of Rs 50,000 was given and Prime Minister announced Ayushman Scheme for 10 crore people. The Congress government had stopped the schemes.”
