With the increasing rate of the rainfall in the last few days the maximum temperature in the state has dropped in the plains and mountainous regions.
According to the director of state meteorological centre, Bikram Singh, though the intensity of rain will drop by the end of this month, the rainfall will continue till the first week of October. In the meanwhile, the centre has forecast rains during the next two-three days in the state.
The State Meteorological Centre on Sunday predicted intense showers at isolated places in Uttarakhand during the next 24 hours.
Overall, the weather will remain generally cloudy with possibility of light to moderate rainfall and thundershowers likely to occur at most places in the state.
In the provisional Capital of Uttarakhand, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy with one or two spells of thundershowers likely to occur on Monday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 28 degree Celsius and 19 degree Celsius respectively.
Meanwhile on Sunday, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at various places in the State were 27.7 degree Celsius and 19.6 degree Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 28.3 degree Celsius and 23 degree Celsius in Pantnagar, 16 degree Celsius and 11.8 degree Celsius in Mukteshwar, 18 degree Celsius and 13.8 degree Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
