Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Badal on Wednesday released a manual of instructions of New Pension Scheme (NPS), implemented by the State Government for its employees appointed on or after January 1, 2004. Around 1.60 lakh officials or employees are working under the New Pension Scheme in the state.
“This manual would be very useful for subscribers, Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) and District Treasury Officers and the departments as they may get all the instructions at one place to dispose of the NPS matters expeditiously,” said Manpreet while releasing the manual.
An official spokesperson said that in the first manual of New Pension Scheme, instructions and regulations issued up to the year 2018 have been complied. It has been prepared in two parts and with 11 chapters, he said.He further said that the manual of NPS would be uploaded on Punjab Government's website so that these instructions may be accessed by maximum number of employees.
