Chhattisgarh in-charge of the All India Congress Committee P. L. Punia is arriving at Raipur on a two-day visit on March 1 to oversee the party’s preparations in the state for the ensuing Lok Sabha polls.
The budget session of the state assembly will conclude on February 28, after which the party will be totally concentrating on the electioneering for the 2019 general elections. Chhattisgarh is likely to have polling in the first phase.
As per Punia’s itinerary provided by Chhattisgarh Congress, he will be arriving by a regular flight at 12.30 pm on March 1. Soon after, he will have a meeting with party leaders. After that at 7.00 pm he will be meeting all the ministers and MLAs at the residence of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
On March 2, Punia will hold meeting with state units of the party’s different cells and frontal organization at 11.00 am at Rajiv Bhawan, party headquarters, Shankar Nagar Raipur. It will be followed by a meeting with block level in-charge at 1.00 pm and meetings of district presidents at 2.00 pm.
He will be participating in the party’s state election committee meeting at 4.00 pm and returned to New Delhi from Raipur by a regular flight at 7.40 pm.
