Renowned storyteller Priyamvand will be conferred with National Vanmali Katha Samman at award ceremony to be held at Vishwa Rang Samaroh. It will be held at Rabindranath Tagore University.
The prestigious Vanamali Katha Samman, Vanamali Katha Critics Award and Vanamali Literary Magazine Award have been announced by Vanmali Srijan Peeth.
This year, popular storyteller Priyamvand will be conferred with the National Vanamali Katha Samman, the Vanamali Katha Samman will be given to the narrator Ranendra and Bhagwandas Morwal, the Vanamali Yuva Katha Samman will be given to the young storytellers Manoj Pandey, Tarun Bhatnagar and Gaurav Solanki.
Senior critic Vinod Shahi will be given the Vanmali Katha Criticism Award and the young critic Rahul Singh will be given the Vanmali Katha Young Criticism Award while the decision has been made to give the magazine 'Contemporary Indian Literature' published by Vanamali literary magazine Saman Sahitya Academy. This year, Kiran Singh and Upasana Chaubey are being honored with Vanmali Distinguished Narrative Award. This year's Vanamali awardees were selected by a five-member committee headed by Santosh Choubey, comprising Mukesh Verma, Liladhar Mandloi, Balram Gumasta, Mahendra Gagan. It is worth mentioning that these awards were established in 1993 in the memory of the story writer Jagannath Prasad Chaubey 'Vanamali'. So far this award has been presented by Shashank, Swayamprakash, Asghar Wajahat, Uday Prakash, Maitreyi Pushpa, Satish Jaiswal, Mamta Kalia, Manzoor Ehtesham, Chitra Mudgal, Prabhu Joshi, Malati Joshi, Tejinder, Mukesh Verma and Manoj Rupra, Anand Harshul, Kailash Contemporary, young storytellers like Banwasi, Pankaj Subir, Mohammad Arif, Pankaj Mitra, Manisha Kulshrestha, Alpana Mishra have been provided. Rohini Agarwal, Jayaprakash, Vinod Tiwari and Vanmali Katha magazine Samman to Ramesh Upadhyay, Hari Bhatnagar have been awarded with Vanamali Katha Criticism Award.
All the above awards will be given on November 10 during Tagore International Literature and Arts Festival 'Vishwa Rang'. The "Vishwa Rang" Tagore International Literature and Arts Festival, from November 4 to 10 will be organized by Vanmali Shirwan Peeth and Rabindranath Tagore University.
This Vishwa Rang, organized in about 60 sessions, will be a unique platform for many subjects, which will be held in the intimate association of Bharat Ratna Pranab Mukherjee, former President of India and more than 500 scholars from India and abroad.
