PM to address rally in Rohtak on May 10

Tuesday, 30 April 2019 | PNS | Rohtak

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a rally in Rohtak on May 10 to boost party’s Lok Sabha poll campaign in the state.

“All the preparations for the rally have been made,” said Chief Minister Manohar Lal during inter-actions with various groups and organisations at Rohtak in the run up to the May 12 Lok Sabha elections for 10 seats in the state.

BJP has fielded former MP Arvind Sharma against three-time MP and Congress nominee Deependra Singh Hooda in Rohtak.

BJP chief Amit Shah is also scheduled to address rallies on May 5 and 10 in Haryana. Shah will address rallies at Sonipat (Sonipat LS), Panipat (Karnal LS) and Yamuna Nagar (Ambala LS) while on May 10, he will address rallies at Barwala (Hissar LS), Charkhi Dadri (Bhiwani Mahendargarh LS) and Palwal (Faridabad LS).

Referring to Rohtak and Sonipat Lok Sabha seats from where Deepender Hooda and his father former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda are contesting, Manohar Lal said that the time has come for the father-son duo to make an exit. As the polling date nears, the political temperatures will go up due to Modi, he added.

Responding to the statement of Hooda on resigning in the event of victory of BJP candidates, he said the saffron party does not see any threat as it is on a strong footing. He (Hooda) can resign, Manohar Lal added.

On Hooda’s saying that if the BJP does win Manohar Lal should resign, the Chief Minister said that such a situation will not arise. Hooda should stop dreaming, he added.

Manohar Lal said that there is Modi wave not only in Haryana but in the entire country due to various development programmes launched by the BJP led Central government for all sections of the society including women, farmers, labourers and employees.

Continuing his tirade against the former CM, Manohar Lal said that Hooda is dreaming. Leave aside reaching Chandigarh, the former Chief Minister will not even get a chance to reach Delhi, the Chief Minister added.

Taking a dig at Congress leader Randeep Surjewala without taking his name, he said that one leader of Congress dreamt of reaching Chandigarh via Delhi, but the people of Jind stopped his journey by giving him a befitting reply.

Inter-acting with media after addressing various functions, Manohar Lal said that opposition has already admitted defeat because the readings on ground are out and the people have already made up their mind for the 10 seats which will go to the BJP.
