The people living in the slum clusters situated across the national Capital will soon have their own houses at the same place where they are currently accommodated. Delhi
Development Authority (DDA) the nodal agency, has completed Detailed Project Report (DPR) for 32 JJ clusters located across the city.
The DDA which is the implementing agency for implementation of ‘In Situ’ Development of JJ clusters as per Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) on DDA’s and Central Government’s land in national Capital has completed survey of 32 JJ clusters namely Kalender Colony, Khadda Basti, Harijan Basti, JJ Bandhu camp.
“The authority has appointed the consultant agency which is currently surveying the remaining 160 JJ clusters on DDA’s lands in various parts of Delhi comprising about 85,000 households; the work order has been issued. The survey work shall be completed in a time bound manner,” said a DDA official.
For remaining 184 JJ cluster (approx.) on DDA’s and Central Governments lands, the demand survey will be carried out by engaging an agency on priority, they said. Currently, there total of 376 JJ clusters (approx.) exist on DDA’s and Central Government’s land spread across entire national Capital comprising about 1.73 lakh households covering an area of about 40 lakh Sqm.
