Industrialists under the banner of SIIDCUL Entrepreneurs Welfare Society (SEWS) in Pantnagar alleged that the action being taken by the pollution control board (PCB)against industries reportedly generating pollution is wrong.
At a meeting held recently, the industrial representatives averred that the state’s pollution control board had not provided any information to the factories served closure notices as to which standards they had failed to meet.
Details of why the samples failed were not provided, only closure notices were issued, they claimed.
