In the Para Sports World Cup held in Osijek  the para player of Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy, Rubina Francis, exhibites a wonderful performance. She won the bronze medal in the 10 meter air pistol senior Para Women event, representing the Indian team.

With this, Rubina made Jr.'s new world record with 206.3 points. The championship was being played from  July 22 to 31. Interestingly, Rubina was the only player in the junior category, who reached the finals while participating in the senior category. He earned 557 points against 600 in the qualification round and 206.3 in the final.

Sports and Youth Welfare Minister, Jitu Patwari complimented the shooting academy's talented para-player Rubina Francis for the brilliant performance of the World Shooting Para Sports World Cup and congratulated the para player Rubina, who won the bronze medal and made the world record of junior. Besides, Director Sports and Youth Welfare S.L. Thoussen also congratulated Rubina on this achievement and encouraged her to perform similarly in other championships as well.

 It is notable that among the 11 players in the Indian team, Rubina Francis is the only player from Madhya Pradesh, who has been selected for World Shooting Para Sports World Cup. Rubina Francis has given the country gold medal in the World Shooting Para Sports World Cup held in Bangkok in 2017.

She has won 15 gold and 2 silver medals to Madhya Pradesh in national championships. From the year 2017, learning the art of the shooting game in the academy, by Jaspal Rana, Chief Instructor of the Shooting Academy, Jaspal Rana and Assistant Trainer Jaywardhan Singh.
