Minister for Energy and Minister In-Charge of Jabalpur district Priyavrat Singh dedicated 3 electricity sub-centres Pipariya, Tewar and Lamhetaghat in a programme held in Lamhetaghat village of Jabalpur district. Singh said that now all the 24 villages in its vicinity will get quality electricity.
Singh further mentioned that the state has to be made number one in electricity production and distribution. Electric supply for farming is the top most priority of the government, he said. Electricity at low rate is being provided to the farmers. Shri Singh stated that meeting growing demand of electricity, electric supply at low rate to the consumers and reduction in losses of power companies is a big challenge. Improvement is being made in the operating structure of electricity distribution to face this challenge. Private capital investment will be increased. He mentioned that instructions have been given to hold at least 3 camps in a month at each power distribution centre to resolve the problems of the consumers. Singh also planted a sapling in Lamhetaghat. Singh performed Bhoomi Poojan of various development works costing Rs. 84 lakh in Bhedaghat.
The Minister for Energy Singh attended ‘Aapki Sarkaar Aapke Dwaar’ programme in Mankhedi (Shehpura). He directed to resolve all the problems received in the programme within stipulated time. Singh gave information about various welfare schemes of the government.
He distributed benefits of various government schemes to the beneficiaries. Singh performed bhoomi poojan of up-tahsil office building in Mankhedi and dedicated the high tension electricity sub-centre and did Bhoomi Poojan of hospital building respectively in Belkheda.
