A minor girl was molested by her neighbour in North West Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar area on Sunday. The victim is a second standard student and is living with her family in Adarsh Nagar area.
According to a senior police official, the accused on Sunday sent the six-year-old victim to buy some product from the grocery shop in the area and when the victim returned the accused shut the door and forcefully undressed the victim.
“The accused later started touching her inappropriately following which the victim started crying, the accused got frightened and let her go. The victim immediately rushed out of the house and stated her ordeal to her mother who approached the police,” said the senior police official. “The police on the statement of the victim have registered a case under section 354 of Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The accused has been arrested,” the police official added.
