MPSD students set to present Harishankar Parsai’s stories

The students of Madhya Pradesh School of Drama (MPSD) are all set to present the stories of Harishankar Parsai before the Bhopalites. As the MPSD students learn something new at the beginning of the session, this time they will be presenting the ‘Parsai Ke Sang Prem Ke Teen Rang’ on Tuesay.

Devendra Raj Ankur, the renowned playwright of the countrt is here to teach the students of MPSD about theatres. The special lectures by Devendra Raj Ankur began with the students of batch 2018-19. The final rehearsal of three stories by Harishankar Parsai was conducted here on Monday. It is to be noted that a workshop was conducted by Devendra Raj Ankur that continued till Monday.

The MPSD students will present the Parsai ke sang prem ke teen rang on Tuesday at MPSD Auditorium.

During the entire workshop, the students were taught about how to present the character on stage with efficiency. Not only this, but during the workshop, the students were given information on different dance forms. The final rehearsals of the play were held with a lot of enthusiasm at MPSD.

Devendra Raj Ankur is a name that every theatre student and every lover of theatre is familiar with. Former Director of National School of Drama, Devendra Raj Ankur of several acts has been a teacher, director, a critic, a playwright and an actor par-excellence. Having created a completely new genre of Modern Indian Theatre called Kahani Ka Rangmanch, he has penned over 400 stories and novels in all Indian languages. He feels that there is nothing in this world better than the thrill of performing live.

He is here in the city of lakes to teach this incredible art to the theatre lovers. Devendra further feels that a story should be treated the way it is written and should be presented before the audience in the same way.

His depth of knowledge and breadth of vision is simply immense. His rich baritone voice reverberate the room when he speaks of his unconditional love for theatre.
