Emmanuel Pal, player of the Madhya Pradesh Athletics Academy, brought laurels to the State. He won a silver medal in Madhya Pradesh while performing brilliantly in the Senior category, Indian Grand Prix -2.
The championship was organised in the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. Emmanuel Pal completed the 200 m race in 22.37 seconds and won the medal. The first and third places were won by host Delhi players.
This is the first time that any player from the Academy enhanced the glory of the state by giving silver medal to Madhya Pradesh in the Senior category.
Expressing happiness over this achievement of Academy player Emmanuel Pal, the State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Jitu Patwari has congratulated him. He said that he is proud of the Academy's player Emmanuel Pal who earned the silver medal for the first time in the senior category of this national level competition.
He also said that the players have made Madhya Pradesh proud by winning a medal.
On the occasion Director Sports and Youth Welfare S.L. Thoussen also congratulated them for appreciating the performance of Academy player Emmanuel Pal. He expressed his contentment and congratulated Emmanuel on his achievement.
Sports Director Thoussen appreciated the performance of Emmanuel Pal in the competition and he also gave good wishes while encouraging her to perform well in the forthcoming events.
It is to be mentioned that the players of the Madhya Pradesh State Athletics Academy, S.K. Prasad and Shipra are training the players.
