Showcasing a brilliant performance, Players of Madhya Pradesh State Hockey Academy team won the title match of the 37th Nehru Sub Junior Under-15 Hockey tournament played in New Delhi.
The winning team was awarded a trophy and an honor fund of one lakh sixty thousand rupees. Academy player Ankit Pal was awarded the Best Player of the Tournament award and was awarded an honorarium fund of Rs 25,000. Similarly, honorary fund of Rs 15,000 was also given to Rajinder Singh, Chief Instructor of Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy.
In the final match played today, the Academy team won the title by winning the one-sided victory over Town Goverment High School, Odisha 6–0.
On the success of Hockey Academy State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Jitu Patwari and Director Sports and Youth Welfare S. L. Thoussen congratulated Team Madhya Pradesh, expressing thier happiness.
The players led by Madhya Pradesh State Hockey Academy's head coach Rajinder Singh and assistant trainer Mangal Vedha have achieved this impressive victory in Delhi by performing brilliantly in the tournament.
In the final match played on Wednesday, Academy player Zaid Khan scored the first goal from a penalty stroke in the 20th minute of the match. Danish Uddin scored the second field goal for the team in the 26th minute of the match.
Similarly, in the 38th minute of the match, Conan Dad gave the team a 3–0 lead with a field goal. In the 42nd minute of the match, Academy player Jamir Hafeez scored the fourth field goal for the team. In the 44th and 56th minute of the match, team player Zaid Khan won the team 6–0 with a 1–1 field goal. Zaid Khan scored a total of three goals in the match.
