To oversee execution of the 5T and the Mo Sarkar programmes, Local MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu and MLA Bikram Kumar Panda paid a surprise visit to the Casualty Department of the MKCG Medical College Hospital here at 12 am on Sunday and talked to patients and their attendants about healthcare being provided to them.
Seeing patients accommodated on the verandah, they expressed unhappiness and asked doctors on duty to provide them beds.
They too saw lack of adequate doctors, beds and equipments in the three-storied Casualty Department while the number of patients is rising each passing day.
“We enquired about the healthcare being provided to patients. We too talked to attendants. We will apprise the Government about the shortcomings of the hospital. We will take all steps to ensure that high quality healthcare provided in this premier medical in coming days,” MP and MLA told reporters.
