Supported by the State’s Culture department, the Samvad Art Group from Delhi is organising a 30-day theatre workshop in Dehradun.
After the workshop which will continue till September 30, the play VC Durban Singh Negi, based on the life of first Victoria Cross recipient from India will be staged by the participants of the workshop in the town hall in Dehradun.
The workshop is being held at the Narayan Muni Saraswati Shishu Mandir at Rajpur Road. No fee is being charged for the theatre workshop which is free for participants.
The Samvad theatre group is headed by Anoop Gosain, who has been active in theatre since 2000. He has staged a number of productions in Delhi and Pauri starting with Asmita theatre group in 2000 and then launching his own theatre group in 2012.
The participants in the workshop will work under his guidance and learn techniques from experts in voice modulation, speech, body movement, confidence building and spontaneous acting on the stage with ease. The seats in workshop are limited and offered on first come first serve basis.
