Keeping the arrival of monsoon in consideration, a meeting chaired by the district magistrate, C Ravishankar was conducted with the executive officers of various departments here on Saturday. During the meeting various instructions were given by the DM regarding traffic management and emergency services.
Addressing the meeting, he instructed the officials to spot the areas which remain prone during monsoons and start the work in the areas immediately. He also said that the necessary work and proposals for work should also be submitted without delay. The DM instructed the officials to identify the black spots and to start the work there immediately. He gave instructions that the crush barriers needed in mountainous areas should be installed in time.
Giving instructions about the water logging problem, he said, “The patchwork of the roads should be done in time also the cleanliness of the drains should be done properly so that people face no water logging problem.”
The Public Work Department (PWD) was also instructed to fix traffic arrangement issue in Kalsi region.The DM instructed that GPS system should be installed in JCB for better monitoring of the work during the monsoon season.
