A body of a missing man was recovered from an abandoned well at Bidyutpur Colony under the Baidyanathpur police station in Berhampur city on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Ambika Padhi of Shakti Nagar in the city.
Locals spotted the body floating in the well in the morning and informed the police about it.
Police recovered the body and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances under which the man fell into the well.
Padhi had gone missing two days ago; and his family members were searching for him, reports further said.
