A 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a 24-year-old youth at her house in Patlon village under Eitkhedi police station area in the evening on Tuesday; a complaint was lodged with the Eitkhedi police by the victim.

According to the police, the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused Irfan Khan. In her complaint the victim stated that she was alone at her house and in the evening on Tuesday the accused entered her house and sexually assaulted her.

The accused used to live in the same area and was acquainted with the victim.

The victim was sexually assaulted and before leaving the accused threatened her of life but the victim braved and reported the incident to the family and later family members lodged a complaint with the police.

The police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and sections 3 and 4 POCSO Act-2012. After the case was registered the accused went absconding and is still at large.

Meanwhile, Nishatpura police have booked a 22-year-old youth for molesting a 17-year-old in Nishatpura area on Tuesday.

Police said that the accused, identified as Toufeeq, used to molest the victim frequently whenever she would get out of the house for work.

The victim lodged a complaint with the Nishatpura police against the accused who had molested her on Monday and when she opposed, he threatened her of life and escaped from the spot.

Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case under sections 506 and 354 of the IPC and have started search for the accused who went absconding after the complaint was lodged.
