Man injured after colleague over some dispute hits him with hammer

A 42-year-old worker of a steel manufacturing unit at Industrial Area was critically injured after he was hammered by his colleague over some dispute in the evening on Wednesday.

Police said that injured victim Netram Rajak was hit by his colleague Munnalal Pawar by hammer in his head and face injuring him critically.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition was reportedly critical. The accused escaped the spot after attacking the victim. The accused works with the victim and used to have disputes over frequent said police.

In the initial investigation police found that the victim and accused work at R Industries in Industrial Area at Govindpura and they would fight over issue of working better and more. On Wednesday the two had a fight over some issue and entered into verbal spate which soon turned physical and Munnelal attacked Netram with an iron hammer in his head and face in which Netram sustained severe injuries in head and jaws and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

After the victim was hit with the hammer he went unconscious on the spot and later other workers of the company lodged complaint with the police.

Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 307 of the IPC and started further investigation.

Police said that teams have been dispatched to search for the accused who is still absconding.
