A body of a man was recovered from the bank of Salunki river near Dami village under the Phulbani Town police limits on Friday. The deceased was identified as Rajiv Lochan Behara, a resident of Bilupadar village. Reports said Rajiv had been staying at his in-laws’ house at Kendupadar since long. On Friday morning, locals spotted his body on the riverbank and called up police. The cops reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. Rajiv’s brother Prakash lodged a complaint at the Phulani Town police station alleging that some miscreants have killed the former before dumping his body in the river.
Acting on the complaint, police began an investigation into incident.
