A 45-year-old man died after a bucket filled with water fell on his head while cleaning a well in Sunga village under Nazeerabad police station area on Wednesday.
Police said that a labour was rushed to a nearby hospital after bucket filled with garbage fell after rope tied to it broke and where he was declared brought dead. The deceased was identified as Kaniram Ahirwar of Sunga village.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
The police have started further investigation. In the initial investigation police found that the deceased was working inside the well for cleaning and bucket was used to remove garbage and mud inside the well. The bucket was pulled using a rope and while Kaniram was inside the well rope broke and fell over his head and sustained head injurieswhich caused his dead.
Police said that if it is found that death was caused due to negligence a case would be registered. The incident took place in the afternoon after which other workers rushed him to nearby JP hospital where he was declared dead.
Meanwhile, a 55-year-old employee of Government Press died at the premises under suspicious circumstances late in the night on Wednesday; MP Nagar police have started investigation.
The deceased identified as Krishna Pratap Pandey was declared dead after he was taken to nearby hospital after he fell near gate of the Government Press at around 11 in the night.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
The reason would be revealed after receiving post mortem report.
