Man booked for attacking sister-in-law

Gandhi Nagar police have booked a man for attacking his 35-year-old sister-in-law with blunt object at Arjun Ward on September 26; accused hit the victim over petty issue.

According to the police injured woman was rushed to Shraddha hospital after she was attacked by his brother-in-law identified as Ravi.

The family members of the victim Manisha Sharma took the victim to hospital in injured state and told that she fell from the terrace of their house.

Till Friday evening victim remained unconscious and later she was shifted to Bansal hospital.

In the initial investigation police found the statements of the family members suspicious and when her statements were recorded she claimed that on the day of the incident she had a verbal spate with her brother-in-law and who turned violent and attacked her and hit her in her head with a blunt object and later she went unconscious. 

Based on the statements of the victim a case of attempt to murder was registered against the accused and started search for the accused who went absconding after the attack.

The family members of the accused would be quizzed to reveal the whereabouts off the accused.

Details of the accused are under investigation and his past crime record is searched by the police.
