Seminar on ‘Cyber crime and Security’ held
Bhopal: Maharani Laxmi Bai Government Post Graduate Autonomous College organised a seminar on “Cyber crime and Security” on Monday at Institute Premises.
Cyber Security Expert from AMTAG Global, Akshay Bajpai who is also a Cyber Security Consultant for District Legal Services Authority, Bhopal, leads the session by informing students about cyber security practices which should be followed by every individual in current scenario. Akshay told students about cybercrime, laws, financial frauds, ATM security and other security measures followed on social networking platforms. On this occasion, career counselling head Anima Khare and Sangeeta Saxena were present along with 90 students to show their participation in the session.
New water policy will benefit small villages
Bhopal: Public Health Engineering Minister Sukhdev Panse has said that the new drinking water policy will benefit small villages along with big villages in the summer season through Nal Jal Yojana. He said that in the new policy, the implementation process of Nal Jal schemes in small and far-flung villages has been simplified. Panse said that new hand pumps will be installed in the settlements where 55 litres per person per day drinking water is not available during the summer season. Minister Panse informed that necessary changes have been made in the interest of the settlements under the new drinking water policy. According to this, at least one Government drinking water source will be made available in minimum 300 metre radius. Earlier there was arrangement of one drinking water source in 500 metre radius of the settlement.
5,316 beneficiaries get training under SULM
Bhopal: Training was imparted to 5,316 beneficiaries in the year 2019 under State Urban Livelihood Mission. Of these, employment/self-employment was made available to 2298 beneficiaries. The scheme is being implemented in 110 cities. Under this scheme contracts have been made with CEPAT, Indo-German tool and private industrial institutions for training. Under self-employment programme, this year 517 beneficiaries have been given loan of Rs 6.28 crore. Under Urban Street Vendors Membership Scheme identity cards were distributed to one lakh 24 thousand 799 street vendors after survey this year. Hawkers-corner was constructed at a cost of Rs 1crore 33 lakh to facilitate street vendors. As many as 133 shelters (ashrams), in 55 urban bodies with a population of over one lakh and at district headquarters are being run under this scheme. In these, people without shelter are provided free housing and medical facilities.
