BBSBIF to support Punjab Govt in parkash purab
Chandigarh: Baba Banda Singh Bahadur International Foundation (BBSBIF) will give full support to the Punjab Government to commemorate the 550th prakash purab of Guru Nanak Dev, said Foundation’s president and the newly-appointed chairman of Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation (PSIDC) Kishan Kumar Bawa. He said to disseminate Guru Nanak Dev’s teachings to every nook and corner of the globe, the Foundation will organize 11 events in Canada, USA, besides holding events in Haryana, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
Jyoti Arora sent on central deputation
Chandigarh: Haryana Government has placed the services of Jyoti Arora, Additional Chief Secretary (Cooperation Department) at the disposal of Government of India for her appointment as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, with effect from July 31, 2019.
Nalwar Fair declared district level
Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Government on Tuesday declared Nalwar fair, Lambathach in Thunag tehsil of Mandi district, as district level fair in the public interest from immediate effect. A notification has been issued by the government in this regard.
SECRETARY GARG releases BBMB Coffee Table Book
Chandigarh: Union Power Ministry’s secretary Subhash Chandra Garg on Tuesday released Coffee Table Book on Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) on July 29, 2019, at Shram Shakti Bhawan, New Delhi. The Coffee Table Book — a compilation of amazing facts, figures and details about BBMB projects which are source of inspiration for the entire nation — unveils interesting untold stories of the contributors to these projects and contains gathas of Green and White Revolutions in India. BBMB chairman DK Sharma apprised that BBMB has dedicated this Coffee Table Book to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during construction and to the project affected people who provided land for BBMB projects.
Viva Dance Studio unveiled
Panchkula: Winner of a dance reality show ‘High Fever Dance Ka Naya Tevar 2019’ on &TV, and MTV Fame artist-Roadies Real Heroes participant Tara Prasad on Tuesday unveiled Viva Dance Studio, at Sector 17, Panchkula. Opening dance workshop too was organized by the founder of Viva Dance Studio Akanksha Gupta, who is from the fitness industry. The workshop was conducted under two genres — Kids Freestyle and Bachata open level.
UHBVN’s CGRF to listen grievances
Chandigarh: Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam’s Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum’s (CGRF) members will make extensive visits in August for hearing grievances of the consumers and to entertain new complaints. Spokesperson said that CGRF will take all grievances or complaints of consumers like billing problem, voltage complaints, problems in metering, disconnection and reconnection of power supply, interruptions, failure of power supply, efficiency, safety, reliability, non-compliance of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission orders etc.
Three arrested FOR PEDDLING DRUGS
Chandigarh: Haryana Police has arrested three persons in Fatehabad district on the charges of peddling drugs, and recovered 21 kg doda post and 10 gram heroin from their possession. Spokesperson said that two accused, identified as Bijender and Rohit, were apprehended on the charges of possessing 21 kg doda post whereas one Suresh was nabbed with 10 gram heroin. Cases under the provisions of NDPS act were against them. Further investigation is being conducted.
