Awareness drive against plastic
An awareness campaign was conducted at Muri Railway Station by the Department of Commerce of Ranchi Railway Division. Passengers, stall owners, shopkeepers, railway staff at the station premises were encouraged not to use polythene bags. The use of polythene bags will be banned across the country from 2 October 2019 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's birth. Keeping this in mind, this campaign is being run.
CMPDI bids farewell
CMPDI organised a farewell ceremony for four of its retiring empoyees on Friday. The retiring employees include, D Basu, GM (Mining/HRD); AK Singh, Senior Personal Assistant; Jagjiwan Ram, Sr Scientific Assitant and RK Mitra, Observer. Director (Technical) RN Jha felicitated the employees by giving them bouquet, commendation letter, memento and shawl on the occasion. Senior offcials of the Coal India subsidiary wished for good health and long life of the retiring employees.
DPS shines in quiz competition
In the city round of HDFC Ergo Insurance Awareness Award Junior Quiz 2019 held at Kairali School on August 28, DPS students proved their mettle. Atharv Shukla of Class IX-G and Tanay Mishra of Class VIIII-D bagged the first position and emerged to be the CITY TOPPERS. The winners Atharv Shukla and Tanay Mishra would represent Ranchi city at the Zonal level of the competition to be held in Kolkata next month. Sahil Seemant of Class IX-A and Piyush Prabhakar of Class VIII-A stood as the 2nd Runners-up.
Yoga Institute wins PM’s award
Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi has felicitated The Yoga Institute with the Prime Minister's Award for Outstanding Contribution for Promotion and Development of Yoga for the year 2018-19. The prestigious award was presented in the category of ‘National Institute’ at a special ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan. In recognition of the honour, the Prime Minister said, “The Yoga Institute has set the standard for yoga education, research, publication, innovation and creativity. This award is a testament to the skill, ingenuity, and philanthropic vision of its founders.” Hansaji Jayadeva Yogendra, Director the The Yoga Institute – Mumbai, received the award from the Prime Minister.

With You Welfare Association was awarded the National Excellence Award for its outstanding social work. this event organized by the World Book of Records, among the eminent personalities from the country and abroad, the award was received by the President of with you welfare association Vishwa Bandhu from the hands of the President of the World Book of Records, Diwakar Shukla and Maharani Bhawani Rana of Nepal. This year, one lakh saplings were planted by the institution for environmental protection and this award has been given in view of the excellent work done for water conservation campaign. This NGO is working for environmental protection and water conservation across the country and is accelerating this work across the country to fulfill the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
SBI Card’s ‘ILA’ chatbot
SBI Card has rolled out its chatbot ‘ILA’ (Interactive Live Assistant), on its mobile App to further enhance consumer experience. ILAhas 40 plus innovative features making SBI Card one of the first in the industryto offer a complete suite of self-service functionalities increasing convenience for the customers.The latest version of the chatbotenables advanced features such as EMI conversions, balance transfer options and loan on credit card among other account management options which is first for any mobile chatbot in the industry. The company has also introduced live chat option wherein the conversation with chatbot can be carried forward by a customer support executive for resolution of specific cases. ILA’s earlier version was released last year on SBI Card website.
