Hyderabad vet gangrape: JNU students, ABVP members take out candlelight march

Scores of students from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarti Parishad (ABVP) held a candle march to offer condolences to the 26-year-old victim who was gangraped and murdered by four people in Hyderabad city on Thursday.

The students gathered and mourned for the gangrape victim and demanded strict action against the culprits. 

“This is a heart wrenching incident and makes our country a more dangerous and unsafe place for woman.  A strict law is needed and strict action should be taken against the culprits. Such incidents create a fear among everyone of us and we are scared to send our mother, sister and daughter out of home. Justice should be given to doctor and her family who was brutally raped and murdered, burnt alive,” said the students.
