A human skull and bones were found from a dustbin near the IRC Village High School under the Nayapalli police station here on Friday.
Reports said the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) sanitation workers noticed a human skull and bones wrapped in a polythene bag while dumping the garbage in a dustbin in the locality in the morning.
The BMC workers informed the matter to the locals and called up the police.
On being informed, the Nayapalli police along with a forensic team rushed to the spot and seized human skull and bones.
Police also sent the seized skeleton to the State Forensic Laboratory for a DNA test. “Further investigations are underway in this connection,” police said.
