Miscreants decamped with valuables worth Rs 2.5 lakh including Rs 50,000 cash from Deepak Society under Chunabhatti police station area late in the evening on Sunday.
According to the police, the victim Anand Nema had gone to Salkanpur for visiting temple in the morning on Sunday and when they returned in the evening, they found broken locks and open doors and on entering valuables were found missing.
In the complaint, the victim has claimed that gold jewelry worth Rs 2 lakh and Rs 50,000 cash were found burgled.
Based on the complaint and after the preliminary investigation, the police registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC. Victim works as a contractor. The victim is a resident of Deepak Society.
Police suspects that the burglars were aware regarding the whereabouts of the family and committed the burglary when the family was away. The domestic help and security guard of the locality would be questioned.
In the complaint, the victim has claimed that jewelry and cash were missing. The total loss in the burglary was around Rs 3.5 lakh. Police have detained few suspects in the investigation who would be quizzed.
During the investigation, police found that security guard are deployed in the society and maintain vigil round the clock.
Interestingly neighbours have expressed ignorance regarding burglary which was committed in broad day light. The FSL team visited the house and started investigation.
