At most of the places in Madhya Pradesh, day temperatures were recorded around 42 degree Celsius on Saturday. The maximum temperature in the State was at 45 degree in Khargone.
The harsh weather conditions would prevail as warning has been issued Met department of heat wave conditions in the next 24 hours in Sagar, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Hoshangabad and Bhopal divisions.
State capital recorded night temperature at 23 degree Celsius which was the highest night temperature on Friday. Extreme hot conditions prevailed with prickling heat on Saturday in the state capital and recorded day temperature at 41 degree Celsius on Saturday forcing people to remain indoors and making the administration to issue orders of changing school timing which could help students to cope with the harsh weather.
According to the forecast state capital would witness day and night temperatures at 41 and 23 degree Celsius on Sunday. Except four places day temperatures were recorded over 40 degree Celsius. With the increase of day temperatures night temperatures have also recorded increase in the past two days.
In the past 24 hours over a dozen districts witnessed hot wave conditions. Khajuraho, Nowgong, Sagar, Damoh, Betul, Dhar, Khandwa, Khargone, Ratlam, Shajapur, Ujjain, Guna and Gwalior witnessed hot wave conditions.
Tikamgarh and Shajapur witnessed hot nights conditions. The highest temperature was recorded at 45 degree Celsius in Khargone and night temperature was recorded at 15 degree Celsius in Mandla. Significant increase in day temperatures was witnessed in Sagar and Ujjain divisions in the past 24 hours.
