A Government teacher of Brahamgiri block has been alleged to have forged his caste certificate to get a seat in BEd course.
According to the allegation before the Block Education Officer (BEO) Brahmagiri, the accused is in possession of two caste certificates, one of SC and another of OBC. He used the OBC certificate to get the Government job.
The accused teacher engaged in the Upper Primary School of Brahmania village was identified as one Balabhadra Nayak, who was alleged of forging his caste certificate to ST to ease his selection to BEd course in the Government College, Kalahandi.
In a written complaint to BEO Manmath Patra, a social activist of nearby village said that Nayak is really Khandayat by caste, but he manipulated his certificate to Mahar under ST category only for admission to BEd. The complaint of Patra annexed with RTI certificates showed during joining his service, Nayak produced OBC certificate and later got a job as Sikhya Sahayak (SS) in the school.
