Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday said that his government is committed to preserve the Dev Sanskriti of the state and would provide all possible help to those involved in promoting the same in the state.
The Chief Minister said this while addressing the Kullu Zila Kardar Sangh here.
He said that Himachal Pradesh is known as the 'Dev Bhoomi' and the people of the state have great faith in Gods and Goddesses. The State Government is ensuring that the ancient tradition is kept alive for the generations to come, he said.
Thakur said that the State Government has also decided that Dev Dhun would be played during International Kullu Dussehra festival this year, in which over 2000 local musicians would participate.
Jai Ram Thakur assured the Sangh for sympathetic consideration of their demands.

Earlier, the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur addressed people here at Ghanahti after listening to the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme of the Prime Minister.
He said, ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme of the Prime Minister has emerged as the major motivational programme for the people of the country, particularly the youth.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has urged the people of the country to stop using plastic as it is a major concern for our environment and also a health hazard for the animals.
The State Government had already banned the use of plastic carry bags irrespective of their thickness and sizes and all plastic items with one-time use and made of non-biodegradable materials. Plastic plates or cups or tumblers are not in use in the state and even polybags are also not being used, he said while adding that even tourists are being requested not to carry polybags or thermocol cutlery to the state.
Thakur said that the nation is blessed to have a strong and dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister. His ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme is providing a new direction to the people, especially youth by motivating them to work for the development of the nation and the society.
He said that Prime Minister has also urged the youth of the country to stay away from the menace of drugs which has emerged as a major social evil threatening the fabric of our society.
