The End of Term Indoor Club Exhibition-cum-Display was held at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) on Friday. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Vice President of the Family Welfare Organisation of IMA, Anupa Rawat.
The highlights of the ‘Autumn Term’ exhibition were robotics, ecology, arts and photography club exhibition.
In the exhibition, the cadets of passing out contingent showcased their talent in form of most exquisite and beautiful exhibits of the arts club, photography and wildlife and computer club. The Arts Club cultivates and promotes creative arts skills among Gentlemen Cadets (GCs). The exhibition showcased acrylic, water, oil and charcoal paintings along with pencil sketches.
The photography and wild Life Club, a very popular club amongst Gentlemen Cadets and Army Cadet College Wing Cadets, exhibited a very innovative display of ‘Life like photographs’ with catchy captions and write ups.
The members of the computer club abreast with the latest technology in the field of IT prepared data automation software projects for easy and efficient management system for military transport fleet of IMA.
A communiqué from the IMA said, “Artificial Intelligence and Robotics is an emerging field in the Army today, it is imperative to cultivate the existing flair for robotics programming to Gentlemen Cadets. Projects like self balancing robot for all weather terrain, device for training events and Robotic arm for picking and dropping or destroying Improvise Explosive Devices (IED) as been introduce as part of the Robotic club at IMA.’’
Interacting with the participants, the Commandant of the IMA, Lieutenant General SK Jha, exhorted the importance of developing initiatives in diverse fields other than military.
