In a tragic incident, two youths were electrocuted and two others sustained injuries as an electric pole fell on them at Kalingbadi village under the Daringbadi police station in Kandhamal district on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Ranjan Pradhan and Liku Pradhan.
Sources said that Ranjan and Liku were going to take bath in a nearby pond when the electric pole fell on them and they died on the spot. Two other youths, identified as Jalendra and Suraj, got electric shock as they tried to rescue them.
The injured are undergoing treatment in a hospital.
