Ace sprinter from Odisha Dutee Chand, who recently hogged headlines for her confession of being in a same-sex relationship, would soon be seen in the popular comedy television programme ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ as a guest.
The shoot has already been completed for the episode, which would be telecast soon. However, national television channel Sony that is telecasting the comedy show is yet to release the promo of the episode. Dutee Chand has uploaded a few pictures from the sets on her social handle.
Besides Dutee, former Indian football captain Baichung Bhutia and hockey player Sandeep Singh would also be seen in the episode.
Earlier this month, Dutee, the Asian Games medalist had revealed that she is in a same-sex relationship with her ‘soul-mate’. She is the first athlete to acknowledge her lesbian relationship openly.
Notably, Dutee is an inspiration for other female athletes. She went through severe mental trauma after she was dropped from the 2014 Commonwealth Games in India under the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) rules on the ground of hyperandrogenism.
However, she had moved the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne against her ban notice. Later, the IAAF withdrew the rules allowing her to return to 100m and 200m events.
