The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday asked the parents and students appearing for the examinations not to panic and believe the rumours spread on social media sites such as Youtube, Facebook and other sites about board examinations and results.
This year CBSE board examinations of class 10th and 12th began from 15th February and 21 onwards and continue till end of March.
“Annual examinations of Central Board of Secondary Educations have commenced on 15th February and the Board has made arrangementsfor the smooth and fair conduct of examinations. However, it has been noticed in the past that certain unscrupulous elements spread rumors by hosting fake videos/messages on YouTube, Face Book, twitter and other Social Media platforms, obviously with the intention of spreading confusion and panic amongst students, parents, schools and public,” read the notice issued by CBSE.
“Thus through this notice, persons involved in such activities are warned and advised to restrain themselves from such activities. In case, any such information comes to the notice of the CBSE, immediate necessary action as per provisions of law will be taken by the CBSE,” it added.
