Doctors of the state are going to withdraw non-essential services on Wednesday following a call from the Indian Medical Association.
This nationwide protest is against the approval and passing of the National Medical Commission Bill in Lok Sabha. The bill was passed in the lower house of the parliament on Monday.
Chairman, Hospital Board of IMA, Dr Rakesh Gupta informed that doctors across the nation are going to protest the ‘draconian’ NMC bill by withdrawing the non-essential services on Wednesday.
The emergency services, casualty, ICU and related services would function normally during the protest period, Gupta informed.
The protest will be of 24 hours starting from 6 a.m. on Wednesday and will end on 6.a.m. on Thursday, Gupta informed.
