In Oupada after death of two persons, for a few days the health officials visited the area and stressed on cleanliness and informed the villagers about the preventive measures.
In the meanwhile, diarrhoea is reported from other bocks of the district including Bhograi, Jaleswar and Basta area .
Everyday patients are admitted in the District Headquarters Hospitals from the referral healthcare units.
The diarrhoea ward in the DHH is most of time seen flooded with the patients. The patients are seen lying on the floor as there is only 12 beds to accommodate the patients, although the hospital administration informed that it was looking for other viable options to accommodate the diarrhoea patients when there was a surge in the number.
