A delightful Bharatnatyam performance was held at Ravindra Bhavan Auditorium here on Monday.
The classical event was organised by Kalapadm Bharatnatyam Dance Academy, Bhopal. The Bharatnatyam performance was choreographed by Bharti Hombal.
The evening began with the alluring Bharatnatyam performance by little artists. It is to be noted that dancers from 3 years to 60 years performed in the event. Their speedy footwork and wondrous expressions marked their beautiful performance.
They undoubtedly maintained the purity of Bharatnatyam performance in their presentation.
An excellent blend of sensuous movements and graceful footwork with absolute control on rhythm was the performance by the dancers enchanted the audience a lot.
The performances commenced with Pushpanjali, which is an offering of flowers to God and is an inauguration dance. It is a salutation to Lord Nataraja, the Guru and the musicians.
This was followed by Alarippu, which is the first dance piece that the Bharatnatyam dancers learn, the children left the audience spell bound.
The students also performed Hanuman Stuti. The students then presented dance pieces like Shambho Mahadev, Jai Janardan and more.
The performance was very rhythmical and filled with lot of enthralling footworks that was also enjoyed by the audience. It was a feast for the classical dance lovers.
While giving the delightful performance the dancers refined the dramatic and rhythmic aspects, delighting audiences with the performance over rhythm and the stylized presentation.
It is to be noted that the event was organised to mark the annual function of the dance academy.
The audience enjoyed every bit of the show.
