A daylong workshop on AutoCAD was organised at Madhyanchal Professional University here on Wednesday.

In this workshop, the functioning of AutoCAD and all types of design were talked about. In this daylong workshop expert Siddharth Sharma gave information to the students and students about the importance of Autocad software, properties and 2D design applications and commands.

It is to be noted that AutoCAD is a Commercial Computer Aided Design (CAD) and draftinh software application. Developed and marketed by Autodesk, AutoCAD was first released in December 1989 as a desktop app running on microcomputers with internal graphic controllers.

Before AutoCAD was introduced, most commercial CAD programs ran on mainframe computers or minicomputers, with each CAD operator (user) working at a separate grafic terminal. Since 2010, AutoCAD was released as a mobile and web app as well, marketed as AutoCAD 360.

AutoCAD is used in industry, by architects, project managers, engineers, graphic designers, city planners and other professionals. It was supported by 750 training centers worldwide in 1994.

All students and students of Civil Engineering participated in it, all the students said that this workshop was important and said This will help us in project planning and model designing.

This lecture was extremely beneficial; the students said that this lecture will definitely give them a good understanding of software industry. The student asked thier various questions to the expert and got thier doubts clear.
