Crime branch Bhopal have nabbed two vehicle lifters and a buyer of stolen vehicles. Vehicle lifters used to work as vehicle seizing agents with a finance company and have recovered 6 vehicles worth Rs 3.5 lakh from their possession here on Friday.
Acting on the tip off twoyouths with a motorbike bearing registration number MP04QG7424 at Karond square were detained and when they were quizzed they accepted bike was stolen from parking of Peoples hospital. Later, in the investigation the accused were questioned they confirmed stealing 5 vehicles.
The youth were identified as Shahid Akhtar and Amir Khan and they revealed selling of stolen vehicles to Mahendra Thakur. Shahid and Amir used to work Bajaj Finance as recovery and vehicle seizing agents.
Police have recovered two motorbikes each from Shahid and Amir while one motorbike was recovered from Mahendra’s house. Accused told the police that used vehicles locks are easier to open with other keys and they used to steal and keep vehicles at their homes.
Meanwhile, Ashoka Garden police have nabbed two miscreants near 80 ft road on Friday who were involved in robbery and recovered a motorbike robbed from their possession.
Police said that acting on a tip off two miscreants were nabbed at 80 ft road and recovered a robbed motorbike from their possession.
The two were identified as Vishal Rathore (22) of Kolar and Sonu Kumar Prajapati (24) of Parwalia. During the investigation when the two were quizzed they confessed that stealing a motorbike from Ashoka Garden area, robbery attempt, robbery of mobile phone and purse from Hoshangabad road and robbery of Rs 10,000 near Chirayu hospital. Sonu has been booked by Govindpura and Parvalia police and Vishal was booked by MP Nagar and Bajaria police.
