Vigilance sleuths on Friday conducted raids on the office and residences of Bhadrak district’s Bhandaripokhari Tesinga Cooperative Society Secretary Rajendra Khandei on the charge of misappropriating funds of the society.
Separate teams conducted simultaneous searches on houses of Khandei and his relatives at six places, including Tesinga gram panchayat office, as Khandei’s wife Sangeeta is Sarpanch of the GP. During the search, official of the Baleswar Vigilance division seized many important documents. Further information regarding disproportionate assets possessed by the couple will be ascertained after completion of the raids, said a Vigilance official.
