The State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday said that the recovery of black money of Rs 22 lakh from a room of hotel in Hazaribagh being used by Congress candidate Gopal Sahu proves that the party is using black money in this election.
Addressing a press meet on Monday State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said that Congress lost people’s confidence and it is doing cheap politics to try for buying votes in the election. People will not let Congress to form government at the Centre and the people will reject the Congress candidate from the every seats, he added.
Shahdeo said that when the money was recovered at the time the Congress candidate was present in the adjoining room.
“BJP has got a report that the Congress leader has given name of the bank account but there was no transaction of Rs 22 lakh recorded in the account then it clearly proves that it is black money, which is used by Congress party in the election,” he added.
Demanding strong action Congress candidate Shahdeo said that BJP is demanding that legal action should be taken against the Congress candidate and his candidature should be cancelled. “It was only trailer. BJP is getting information that Congress and its alliance partner is using money power in the election,” he added.
The Election Commission should take cognizance on the issue, he added.
