Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president and Congress candidate for the North East Delhi Parliamentary constituency, Sheila Dikshit, on Monday said Congress will sweep all the seven seats in Delhi in the Lok Sabha elections on the strength of the Congress Government's unmatched achievements during its 15-year rule in Delhi.

 Addressing public meeting at Seemapuri, Dikshit said that during the 15-year Congress rule in Delhi, the national Capital witnessed massive developments as new flyovers, schools, colleges and hospitals were constructed to make the life of the citizens easier without crying for full Statehood in Delhi.

"The metro project got off the blocks in Delhi only because of the planning and initiative of the Congress Government when developments became a constant feature in Delhi," said Dikshit

Hitting out at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Dikshit said that Arvind Kejriwal was fooling the people on the issue of full Statehood for Delhi. "Ever since Kejriwal came to politics, he has been mouthing lies and making hollow promises to fool the people, but the intelligent Delhi voters have seen through his game plan, and they would no longer be fooled by his lies and falsehood, as his politics have been without any scruples," said Dikshit.

 Dikshit said that had Kejriwal read about the Indian Constitution and understood it well, he would not have been repeatedly telling lies to the people on the full Statehood issue. She said that asking for full Statehood for Delhi meant going against the grain of the Indian constitution, and Kejriwal seems to be totally ignorant about the country's Constitution.

 Dikshit said that both the AAP and the BJP Governments could not deliver on their promises other than making false claims and they were repeating the same falsehood they had indulged in during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. S

She said that both the AAP and BJP were not talking about their old promises as they have no face to show to the people due to their utter failure to fulfill those hollow  promises.

 Mounting a vicious attack on the Kejriwal Government, Dikshit said that the AAP Government has totally failed in Governance despite getting a historic majority in the Delhi Assembly.

She said that pollution levels have reached such a critical stage that people are now inhaling poisonous air in the Capital, and all sorts of diseases have been dogging the people of Delhi as the AAP Government has woefully failed in the health sector and in controlling pollution.

Dikshit said that even without getting full Statehood, Delhi has so much power that the AAP Government could have achieved much in the last four and half years,

drawing from the example of the previous Congress Government, but Kejirwal and his team proved to be totally incompetent in governance, and they were now looking for new issues and excuses to fool the people.
