Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Manoj Tiwari staged a road show in Seemapuri assembly constituency on Monday. Hitting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress party, Tiwari said both the parties have pushed country into backwardness.
"Corruption , terrorism were rampant while congress was ruling," said Tiwari who is contesting election against former Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit from north east parliamentary constituency.
Bhojpuri star turned politician Tiwari managed to gather a good crowd during his road show that started from Mother Dairy Tonga Stand and passed through Nand Nagari, Sunder Nagri, New Seemapuri, Janta Flats, New Seemapuri, Dilshad Garden, Jagatpuri Extension and concluded at Jagatpuri.
Lauding the efforts of BJP booth workers, Tiwari said, "Congress and AAP, both parties have damaged the country and Delhi like a disease whereas during the last five years."
BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi and sitting MP from New Delhi inaugurated an open gym in Lodhi colony. Recalling her visit to Europe where she first noticed concept of open gym, she said 400 open air gym have been set up in New Delhi.
"New Delhi Area has seen overall development whether it is about the Solar Basti in RK Puram or laying down of new roads, installations of pink toilets for women," said Lekhi who is contesting Lok Sabha election against Congress leader Ajay Makan.
Stepping up his campaign for the re-election, South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri held meetings with booth workers in Dakshinpuri area. Addressing workers, Bidhuri said that 12 May will decide the fate of South Delhi.
Targeting Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for blaming Central government, BJP leader said that ruling AAP and Congress are spreading false propaganda against BJP. "I have created 17 Chhat Ghats in my constituency," I am not against Purvanchalis," said Bidhuri.
