Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that rumours are being spread that the Madhya Pradesh Government has allowed the sale of tribal’s land to non-tribals in the notified areas. In Madhya Pradesh, neither there is permission to sale tribal’s land to non-tribal nor any change has been made in this provision.
No such decision has been taken by the State Government. There is still a complete ban on sale of tribals’ land to non-tribal. The Government is committed to protect all the interests of the tribals.
The Chief Minister said that confusion is being spread that the Madhya Pradesh government has allowed the sale of tribals’ land to non-tribals in the notified areas. It is being spread by vested selfish elements, which is not only untrue but baseless. In Madhya Pradesh, neither there is permission to sale tribals’ land to non-tribals nor has any change been made in this provision.
