Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday inaugurated four industrial projects and performed groundbreaking of 14 new projects, which would collectively invest Rs 2,196.30 crore and create employment opportunities for 3,465 people.
“I am pleased to note that we have received over 100 project proposals since the Make in Odisha Conclave 2018. My Government is committed to create 30 lakh additional job opportunities for youth by 2025 through new investments of Rs 2.5 lakh crore in six focused sectors,” said the Chief Minister.
Stating that his Government is working towards ensuring investment intents get converted into actual investments, he maintained, “We witnessed groundbreaking of 14 new projects and inauguration of another four industrial projects today.”
He informed that the GO-SWIFT, the online single window portal, has received 600 industrial project applications in just over 14 months, which translates to almost two new proposals for industrial projects every working day during this period in the State. “This is an incredible achievement for the State and I congratulate all the concerned departments who have made this possible,” he said.
Chief Secretary AP Padhi said, “The State has recently launched a dedicated mechanism of ‘Industry Care’ to further facilitate and provide aftercare services to the industrial units set up in the State. The State Project Monitoring Group (SPMG) portal named e-Suvidha which was till recently resolving grievances of industrial units with an investment of over Rs 50 crore, has now been opened up for all industrial units including MSMEs.”
