On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on October 2, state government is launching Chief Minister Ward Office Scheme to provide basic facilities and efficient administration to local citizens at ward-level.

Main objective of this scheme is to provide uninterrupted and easy access to the facilities, so that common people do not have to come all the way to urban administration offices again and again. Under this scheme, problems related to cleanliness, road, drains, culverts, streetlight maintenance and other urban problems will be resolved at the ward level.

Under this scheme, ward offices will accept all kinds of applications related to urban administration and immediate entry will be done on the portal.

Citizens will be able to self-determine their property taxes, and make payment of various taxes and consumer charges at ward offices. Information regarding various government schemes, schemes conducted by urban administration body and contemporary subjects such as rainwater harvesting etc will be provided at the ward offices.

Applications of shop registration, building license, electricity no objection certificate, government's public welfare schemes, and others will be accepted in ward offices and time-bound redressal of the same will be ensured. Also, licenses/permits will be distributed through ward offices to the beneficiaries of respective wards.

Citizens will be provided facilities within the time-limit prescribed under Public Service Guarantee Rule/Citizen Charter.

Citizens will be able to avail the benefits of this government scheme from the given date itself.
